All available gemstone cut shapes.

The Full edition of Gemgen includes 10 cut types. Gemgen Lite includes Round only.

Round

Round

The classic brilliant round cut — the most popular gemstone shape. Uses radius-based sizing with crown bias and pavilion bias controls.

Cushion

Cushion

A soft, pillow-shaped cut with rounded corners. Uses width/length sizing with corner sharpness, table roundness, and crown bias controls.

Emerald

Emerald

A rectangular step cut with truncated corners. Features bezel width, crown/pavilion step count, and roundness parameters.

Oval

Oval

An elongated brilliant cut with curved outline. Includes dedicated oval handle controls for outline curvature and pavilion pattern selection (4, 6, 8-A, 8-B facet patterns).

Pear

Pear

A teardrop-shaped brilliant cut combining a rounded end with a pointed tip. Features corner sharpness for the pointed end.

Marquise

Marquise

A boat-shaped cut with pointed ends at both sides. Supports corner sharpness, shift pavilion, and crown/pavilion bias.

Heart

Heart

A heart-shaped cut with dedicated shape controls: Point 1/2 for the cleft and tip positions, plus Handle 1–4 for curvature shaping.

Trillion

A triangular brilliant cut. Uses radius-based sizing with corner sharpness and crown/pavilion bias controls.

Baguette

Baguette

A simple rectangular step cut. Features crown/pavilion step counts and roundness. Topology is quad-only (N-gon option not applicable).

Rose

A dome-shaped cut with no pavilion — flat on the bottom with a faceted crown. Uses radius-based sizing with crown bias, crown roundness, and girdle subdivision.
